Mullinahone 1 – 3 Shannon Town United (Clare)
Mullinahone welcomed strong Clare opposition in Shannon Town United in the Munster Junior Shield Fifth Round on Sunday.
The Tipperary side started with real intent, matching the visitors physically in the early exchanges. However, Shannon’s composure in possession soon began to tell.
The opening goal gave Shannon control, but Mullinahone responded well, levelling the game and lifting the tempo.
Unfortunately for the hosts, Shannon Town showed their experience, regaining the lead and extending it late on as Mullinahone pushed forward.
