Tipperary GAA paid tribute to Tommy O’Dwyer of Borris-Ileigh, who passed away recently. O’Dwyer represented Tipperary at Minor and Under 21 level before joining the senior hurling panel in 1972. He scored a point for Tipperary in the drawn Munster quarter-final against Clare in 1977.

At club level, O’Dwyer enjoyed a long and successful career with Borris-Ileigh, winning three Tipperary Senior Hurling Championships and five North Tipperary Senior Hurling titles.

He also played a role in the club’s historic All-Ireland Club Championship victory in 1987, serving as a selector and substitute during the campaign.

Tipperary GAA has also expressed sympathy to the Morris family on the passing of Martin Morris, of Dublin and formerly of Borrisokane.

Tipperary GAA extended its condolences to the families and friends of both men. May they rest in peace.
