Tributes have been paid following the death of Aoife Larkin (née Heffernan) of Gaulross, Borrisokane, Co. Tipperary, who passed away suddenly on Saturday, January 24th.

Aoife was the cherished wife of Eoin and the adored mother of Jack, Oisín and Conall, who will miss her dearly. She was predeceased by her brother Johnny.
She will be sadly missed by her heartbroken parents Ger and Anne Heffernan, her sisters Fiona and Áine, her sons’ partners Emily, Isobel and Aoife, her parents-in-law Flan and Una Larkin, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.
Funeral arrangements
Aoife will be reposing at Sullivan’s Funeral Home, Main Street, Borrisokane, on Tuesday evening from 4pm to 7pm.
Funeral arriving on Wednesday morning to SS Peter and Paul’s Church, Borrisokane, at 11.45am for Requiem Mass at 12 noon, followed by burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
Condolences
One person wrote: “We would like to extend our deepest sympathy to Eoin and Aoife's three lovely boys, Jack, Oisín and Conall, her parents, Ger and Anne, sisters Áine and Fiona and the extended Larkin and Heffernan families on the sad loss of Aoife. We met her at every Borris match we ever attended and she was always the cheerful and positive mother and supporter on the sideline. She will be missed terribly by everyone.”
A second person wrote: “Our heartfelt condolences to Eoin and Aoife’s sons, the Heffernan and Larkin families at this very sad time. Aoife was always so friendly and kind to us when we called to the Greenbar. A fabulous worker with a beautiful smile. We will miss her. May her beautiful gentle soul rest in eternal peace.”
A third person wrote: “Our heartfelt condolences on the loss of beautiful Aoife. To Eoin, Jack, Oisín and Conall, to Aoife’s parents and family, Eoin’s parents and family and the extended Heffernan and Larkin families, wishing you strength to get through this heartbreaking time. May Aoife rest in peace.”
Another wrote: “I had the pleasure of working with Aoife in Portroe, an amazing lady who I was lucky enough to have gotten a few words of wisdom from. Sincere condolences to her family who she always spoke of so lovingly. Rest in peace.”
