Loreto Clonmel have enjoyed an impressive journey to the Schools Senior Munster A Ladies Football Final, showcasing determination, skill and togetherness every step of the way.

The girls began their campaign in confident fashion, finishing the group stages unbeaten with two wins from two outings.
This strong start set the tone for what has been a memorable Munster run. In the quarter-final, Loreto faced familiar local rivals Ursuline Thurles. In a tightly-contested and hard-fought encounter, the Clonmel side showed great resilience and composure to secure a two- point victory and advance to the last four.

The Munster semi-final saw an outstanding team performance against a strong St Mary’s Midleton team. With superb teamwork, work rate and commitment across the pitch, Loreto Clonmel produced a fantastic display to book their place in the final.

Attention now turns to the Senior Munster A Football Final, where Loreto Clonmel will face St Joseph’s of Spanish Point for the very first time at this level. What promises to be a sporting and exciting contest will take place on this Saturday, January 31 in Nenagh.

Best wishes are extended to all the players and management as they prepare for this historic occasion. Supporters are encouraged to come out, show their colours and get behind the girls as they look to finish their Munster campaign on a high.

Loreto Camogie

The Loreto Clonmel Senior Camogie team had a rocky start to their campaign when they played a very tough Scariff team in Nenagh last October under difficult conditions. With a very helpful team talk from Mr Wallace, the girls rose to the occasion and put in a strong second half performance.

The next round took place in UL, where the girls took full advantage of the all-weather pitch. That day their fitness levels and skills shown were exhilarating to watch and the girls confidently headed into a semi-final. The semi-final brought its share of difficulties, with the weather preventing the girls from playing before Christmas.

They travelled to Roscrea in early January and won with an incredible team performance.

Despite all the challenges, this team will now face their second Munster final in two years. Hopefully the girls will add some more silverware to their collection.
