The Cahir Tidy Town Group are looking forward to their annual table quiz, which falls this year on Saturday, February 14 and takes place in the Shamrock Lounge at 8pm sharp, so plenty time to get a team organised.

Teams of 4 are €20. This is always a great night on the Cahir Tidy Towns calendar so all are welcome. A great night is assured as always.

Valentines night is always a night to take loved ones out and declare your unwavering love, so why not do it over 8 rounds of 8 questions and test your knowledge. There’s bound to be some suitable questions to celebrate the weekend.

Elsewhere, the tree saplings have arrived from the "Trees of the Land " project and a mixture of native Irish trees have been planted through the woodlands that will be enjoyed by everyone in the years ahead when they all mature.

Litter picking and  pruning continues as we prepare for the season ahead. The Inch Field remains closed due to the flooding and it’s possible this is the highest flood seen for years.

We will be asking groups to get involved in St. Patrick's Day in the coming weeks as all these festivals and events feed into the Tidy Towns entry form for 2026.

Cahir Youth Tidy Towns are working with the Youth Club on a recycling and creating art project and also planning for events in 2026. Anyone with teens interested should contact Olivia Darcy through the Cahir Youth TT page. So for now, gather your team and prepare for the annual table quiz on Saturday, February 14th at 8pm.

The Group extend condolences to the family of Pat Beary at this sad time. Pat was a great friend to Cahir Tidy Towns through the years and loved to see the progression around the town over that time.
