Free 'Craft Share & Repair' workshops coming to Tipperary for all textile enthusiasts

Nenagh crafters are being invited to roll up their sleeves at the upcoming Craft Share & Repair workshops at the Nenagh Arts Centre.

The sessions take place on Monday 19th January and Monday 16th February, from 10am to 1pm, and are completely free to attend, with no booking required.

The workshops offer a welcoming space for both experienced crafters and those new to textile arts.

Participants can share skills, swap ideas, and get hands-on support with mending, alterations, knitting, embroidery, and other textile projects. All materials, guidance, inspiration, and a cup of tea are provided free of charge.

Attendees are encouraged to bring a current project or clothes in need of repair. Those simply looking to join in the social atmosphere are also welcome, with supplies and refreshments on hand.

The initiative is designed as an informal, ongoing group that will continue into 2026, evolving with the people who take part. It is aimed at fostering a community spirit while also promoting the repair and upcycling of clothing and textiles to extend their life and reduce waste.

Organisers stress that no previous experience is needed, and all are welcome. However, under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.

The workshops are drop-in sessions, so participants can come for as little or as long as they like between 10am and 1pm.
