Irish international football star Jayson Molumby has sent a video message to Peake Villa FC ahead of their 12-hour fundraising walkathon.
The West Bromwich Albion midfielder sent a video to members of the club which was shared on social media by the club recently, wishing all of those taking part in the fundraiser the best of luck.

“Just wanted to send a quick message to the community of Thurles, urging people to get involved with the upcoming fundraiser on the 17th of March up at Peake Villa,” the 26-year-old said.
“The fundraising is vital for ongoing facilities up at Peake Villa and for the local community, so if people aren’t busy, then it’d be a great idea to get up and help whatever way you can, and I just want to say thanks to the local community of Thurles for the ongoing support, so thanks very much.
The walk will take place on St Patrick’s Day, from 9am until 9pm, in Loughtagalla Park.
The walk is being done to raise funds for improvements to the club.
Those taking part are asked to select one hour to join the walk, and inform a coach or committee member, and those who wish to participate but are unable to walk on the day can sponsor one of the walkers.
The walk holds personal significance to Molumby, whose father Darren once played for the Thurles club.

Molumby is part of the Ireland international squad hoping to make history next month by becoming the first Irish team to make it to a World Cup finals in 24 years, and the first to make an appearance at a major tournament since the 2016 European Championships in France.
Molumby and the rest of the squad will travel to Prague on Thursday, March 26, where they will face Czechia, with the winner advancing to play the winner of Denmark and North Macedonia to determine one of the final six available spots at this summer’s World Cup.
Molumby featured three times throughout Ireland’s qualifying campaign, starting in Ireland’s wins over Armenia and Hungary, and in the away game against Portugal, which saw Rúben Neves clinch an added time winner.
