London GAA club is planning another 'Trip to Tipp' on Good Friday

The London-based Sean Treacys GAA club are returning to Cashel on Good Friday

Just over three and a half years since their last unforgettably enjoyable club reunion evening in Cashel, London-based Sean Treacys GAA Club are planning their next “Trip to Tipp” this coming Easter.

On Good Friday, April 3 in the same venue as in 2022 – Brosnan’s Bar in Cashel - the London Exiles will once again pull out all the stops in their attempt to put on a special evening for all their players and former players and their friends, and really make it a Good Friday to remember.

There will also be an opportunity to reflect on the club’s dearly departed members who have since passed to their eternal reward since 2022.

They include former club doyen Mick Maunsell and the untimely passing of local Cashel man Timmy Moloney, followed by John and Mary Cormack.

Many of the club members’ last visit to Cashel was to pay their respects to Timmy at his funeral in September 2023, while Mick Maunsell was laid to rest in Athenry a year later.

Earlier that same year in 2024, Mary and John Cormack sadly passed away within two months of each other.
A buffet is being provided, along with entertainment.

The main emphasis of the evening will be to provide an opportunity to meet up with old friends and former players over a few drinks in the comfort of the splendidly- appointed function room of Brosnan’s Bar.

Presentations and tributes are also being planned for a number of loyal members for their long and dedicated service to the club.

That same Easter weekend also coincides with the National Hurling League finals, and is just two weeks before the start of this year’s much anticipated hurling championship round robin games.
