Tickets are on sale for Carrick-on-Suir RFC’s Cheltenham Festival competition, the club’s long-standing and successful fundraiser.
The competition has become an essential component in supporting the club’s day-to-day activities. It enables Carrick RFC to maintain and improve its facilities at its Tybroughney base.

Thanks to the support of both its membership and the general public every March, the club’s juvenile and adult players benefit from the funds raised, which are always received with gratitude.
Each entry costs €50, with participants selecting one horse for each of the first five races held on each of the festival’s four days from March 10 to 13.
Under the competition’s points system, the winning horse is awarded 100 points, with second place earning 60 points and the third place finisher receiving 40 points.
The club will strive to post its daily results as promptly as it can during the festival. Participants must have their selection submitted each day by 1pm by the following means: online at www.carrickonsuirrfc.ie, by phone (after 10:30am) to (087) 4217145/051-640049 or by text to (087) 4343707.
The highest overall points winner will win a €2,000 prize, with €300 and €200 for the second and third place finishers respectively.
There will also be a highest daily score prize of €100, which will be shared if more than one participant achieves the highest score.
The €50 entry fee can be made payable to any club committee member or online through the club website.
Participants can follow the scores on Carrick-on-Suir RFC’s Facebook page or via the club’s website www.carrickonsuirrfc.ie
