The planning application has been lodged by LMP Developments Ltd, based in Cashel, seeking permission to convert part of an existing retail store at Ardmayle East into a recreational and leisure facility.

According to the application, the proposal involves the sub-division and change of use of the existing retail store area located at the rear of the shop and petrol station.

The space would be redeveloped to accommodate a recreational and leisure facility, which would host daytime and evening classes.

The plans also include the installation of a new fire escape door at the northern rear corner of the existing store, along with associated ancillary works.

The proposed development relates to a site area of approximately 0.188 hectares at Ardmayle East, Boherlahan.

The application was received by Tipperary County Council on March 3, 2026, with a decision due by April 27, 2026.

Members of the public wishing to make submissions or observations on the proposal have until April 6. The application will be assessed by council planner Lauren Butler Ryan.
