The game had originally been fixed for last Sunday in Azzurri Walsh Park but was called off following the untimely passing of Benny Kiely, father of Waterford hurler Michael Kiely of Abbeyside Ballinacourty.

Tipperary GAA and the Tipperary senior hurlers extended their sympathies to the Kiely family following the news of his passing.

The Division 1 clash will now take place this coming Sunday, March 15, at 2pm in Azzurri Walsh Park. Supporters who cannot attend the game will still be able to follow the action, with TG4 set to stream the match live on the TG4 App and via the TG4 website.

The game will also be shown in full on a deferred basis on TG4 television later the same day.
