Captains' Drive-in at reopened golf club in Tipperary means it's all systems go again

There is a palpable sense of joy among the members of County Tipperary Golf Club @ Dundrum to be back playing golf in Dundrum again.

Captain Colm Taylor, Lady Captain Judy Hayes, Junior Girls Captain Jamie Alley and Junior Boys Captain Rian Moloney officially started the year of golfing for the members at the club as they teed off in the Captains' Drive-in.

They are all wished the very best for the year ahead.

This was followed by a 9-hole Mixed Scramble, playing the front 9 holes and the back 9 holes, before indulging in some classy finger food in the clubhouse provided by Willie Crowe, “Jerry Jacks”.

The winning team on the front nine holes was Carol Ferncombe, Elizabeth Hayes, Cormac Crowe and Tom Kennedy.

The winning team on the back nine was Elaine Kinane Ryan, Philip Ryan, TJ Butler and Ollie Carr.

In second place on the front nine were Bridget Sherman, Derek Hayes and Nicholas O’Toole. In second place on the back nine were Frances Boyle, Tommy Landers, Michael Hayes and Marie Holohan.
