According to the planning application, the proposed development would consist of an all weather training pitch along with a five metre high precast concrete ball wall.

The plans also include perimeter fencing and six 12 metre high columns with floodlights, together with all associated site works.

The planning application was received by the local authority on March 10, 2026 and is currently listed as a new application.

A decision on the application is due by May 4th. Members of the public have until April 13th to make submissions or observations in relation to the proposal.

All submissions and observations received within the specified period will be considered by the Planning Authority before a decision is made on the application.

The application is being handled by planner Olive O'Donnell.
