The Circle of Friends Cancer Support Centre hosted a very successful Open Day on Saturday, March 7th, welcoming members of the public to learn more about the wide range of supports and services available at the Centre.
There was an excellent turnout during the morning, with a steady flow of visitors attending between 10am and 1pm.

People from Tipperary Town and the surrounding areas took the opportunity to visit the Centre, meet staff and volunteers, and gain a better understanding of the valuable work carried out there.
Guests were warmly welcomed by Centre Manager Noreen Ryan Preston and Centre Chair Tommy O'Brien, who expressed their appreciation to everyone who came along to support the event and to learn more about the services offered.
A key feature of the morning was an informative talk hosted by the Centre Manager, outlining the range of supports available at the Centre for people living with cancer and their families.
The presentation included contributions from some of the Centre’s counsellors, who spoke about the counselling and emotional support services available and the important role they play in helping people navigate the challenges that cancer can bring.
Those attending had the opportunity to learn more about the various programmes and supports provided by the Centre, as well as to meet members of the team and view the facilities in a relaxed and welcoming environment.
Refreshments were served throughout the morning, giving visitors an opportunity to chat and engage informally with staff and volunteers.

Adding to the atmosphere of the day, Tipp Mid West Radio broadcast live from the Centre during the event, helping to highlight the work of Circle of Friends and bringing the activities of the Open Day to listeners across the region.
Overall, the Open Day proved to be a very positive and informative occasion, helping to raise awareness of the important services provided by the Circle of Friends Cancer Support Centre and reinforcing the strong community support for its work.
