The death has occurred of Alan Butler, Ballygammane, Thurles and formerly Cloneyharp, Ballycahill, Thurles, Co Tipperary.
Alan is predeceased by his parents Kitty and Patrick, sister Sally.

He is forever loved and always remembered by his partner Hilary, sisters Ellen and Tina, brothers Pat, John, Anthony and Gerard, brother-in-law Richard, uncles Ned, Pat and Tom, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and a wide circle of friends.
May Alan's kind and gentle soul rest forever in eternal peace.
Alan will lay in repose in Hugh Ryan's Funeral Home, Slievenamon Road, Thurles, on Friday, March 20, from 5pm to 7pm.
He will arrive at the Church of St John the Baptist, Clonoulty on Saturday, March 21, at 11am for Requiem Mass at 11:30am.
Cremation Service will take place in Shannon Crematorium on Sunday, March 22, at 3pm.
Burial of Alan’s ashes will take place in Clogher graveyard at a later date.

Tributes have been paid to Alan online, with one person saying: “Deepest Sympathy to Hilary, the Troy and Butler families on the sad passing of Alan. Alan was a gentle man and a true gentleman. Alan was a great neighbour and friend and will be missed by us all. May he now rest in eternal peace.”
Another said: “So sad to hear this news. Alan was always so friendly and had a smile and made time for a little chat. Condolences to all the family. May you rest in eternal peace Alan. A lovely soul gone from us.”
