St Mary’s Choral Society has announced that tickets for its upcoming production of The Clockmaker’s Daughter will go on sale from 10am on Friday, 3rd April, marking an exciting moment for local theatregoers.

The production will run from 27th April to 2nd May at the White Memorial Theatre in Clonmel, and will be particularly significant as it becomes the first show staged at the venue since its reopening. The theatre has been closed for the past six months to allow for essential renovations.

The Clockmaker’s Daughter is a sweeping and enchanting musical that tells the story of Abraham Reed, a brilliant but grief stricken clockmaker, who creates a lifelike automaton named Constance. Brought to life by mysterious forces, Constance begins to experience the joys and complexities of human emotion, especially love. However, her existence disrupts the natural order, setting off a chain of events that intertwine romance, jealousy and the consequences of defying fate. With a rich score and a heartfelt narrative, the show blends fantasy with deeply human themes.

This production boasts a talented cast, with Saoirse Scully in the role of Constance and Emmet Donlan as Will. James O’Donovan takes on the role of Abraham, while Sheena Fennessy plays Ma Riley. Supporting roles include Nicole Butler as Amelia, Cormac Maher as Henry, Gillian Scully as Mab and Cian Corcoran as Mayor Riley.

Behind the scenes, the production is guided by an experienced creative team. Direction is by Des Henn, with musical direction by Niall Kelly. Choreography is by Barbara Meany, while Laura Cotter serves as Chorus Mistress. The set is designed and constructed by Anthony Lawless, with lighting design by Alan McCormack.

Following the overwhelming success of previous productions such as Evita (2024) and Disney’s Beauty and the Beast (2025), both of which sold out within hours of tickets being released, audiences are strongly encouraged to book early to avoid disappointment.

Tickets are priced at €25, with a booking fee applying to online purchases. The White Memorial Theatre Box Office will be open from 10am to 4pm on 3rd April, and tickets can also be purchased online at TicketSource.eu/whitememorialtheatre.

For further information, patrons can contact the box office on 087-3324372.

With a beloved story and a talented local cast, The Clockmaker’s Daughter promises to be one of the standout theatrical events of the season. St. Mary’s Choral Society in Clonmel are especially excited to bring a new, fresh and captivating musical to the stage of the White Memorial Theatre, continuing their tradition of high quality productions for local audiences.
