Students from the Ursuline Secondary School, Thurles, took home the top prize on Slé Anois go Cúramach

BREAKING: Tipperary secondary school wins TG4 Irish language quiz show

Ursuline Secondary School trio Ruth O’Connell, Aislinn Smee and Isabel Ralph won the TG4 Slé Anois go Cúramach quiz recently.

The programme aired earlier this evening on TG4.

The three TYs were delighted to representing their school and county in this Irish language general knowledge quiz.

They faced St Macartan's from Monaghan and it was neck and neck between the two teams until the final round.

It was then the UCT girls put distance between themselves and their peers, pulling away in the final quick fire round to gain victory.

They won €450 worth of One for All vouchers, along with hoodies and merchandise.

The school says well done to the girls on their victory.

They say that everyone in UCT is very proud of them and how they represented the school with distinction.
