Hogan would have been eager to make a good impression after starting second fiddle to his namesake Barry for most of last year's campaign, and had a decent if unspectacular outing. He pulled off a good save in the first half and in what seems to be a request from management, he floated across his 21 as a pass option for the Tipp backs in possession. His long pucks to Denis Maher at different stages caused trouble, but he will need to tidy up his short and medium range passes going forward.
