The N84 Castlebar road outside Ballinrobe is closed following a traffic collision this morning
A major road in county Mayo will remain closed for a number of hours following a serious road traffic collision this Thursday morning.
The collision involving two vehicles took place at approximately 7.15am Thursday, January 4, on the N84 Castlebar Road near Ballinrobe.
Emergency services were called to the scene to assist the injured parties and as a result the main Castlebar Road has been closed and diversions have been put in place.
An Garda Siochána confirmed that the road is current closed and will remain closed for a number of hours.
“The N84 Castlebar Road coming out of Ballinrobe in county Mayo is currently closed and is expected to remain closed for a number of hours as gardaí and other emergency services attend to a road traffic collision. Local diversions are in place,” the garda statement read.
