An Garda Síochána Appeals for Information on the 31st Anniversary of the Murder and Disappearacne of Annie McCarrick– 26th March 2024
The 26th March 2024 marks the 31st anniversary of the murder and disappearance of Annie McCarrick, a tragedy that continues to deeply affect her loved ones and the wider community.

Born on March 21, 1967, Annie was 26 years old at the time of her disappearance.
Originally from New York, Annie settled in Sandymount, Dublin 4, in January 1993, and worked as a waitress at the Courtyard Restaurant in Donnybrook and Café Java in Leeson Street.

Annie's future was abruptly halted on March 26, 1993, when she vanished without a trace, leaving her family and friends devastated.

Annie purchased groceries on the morning of Friday 26th March 1993, in Quinnsworth, Sandymount Road, which were found left unpacked in shopping bags in her apartment. A receipt in the bags confirms the date and time of purchase as 26/03/1993 11:02am.

This is the last confirmed activity by Annie McCarrick.
Annie is described as 5'8" in height, 10 stone, long brown hair. She spoke with a soft Irish-American accent. When Annie disappeared it is believed she was in possession of a large brown leather bag.

As we commemorate the 31st anniversary of Annie's disappearance, An Garda Síochána remains committed to uncovering the truth and progressing this investigation.

Gardaí are renewing their appeal to the public for any information that may shed light on Annie's disappearance and murder. Individuals who may have interacted with Annie on or after March 26, 1993, are urged to come forward and assist in the investigation.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the investigation team at Irishtown Garda Station at 01 6669600, their local Garda Station, or the Garda Confidential line at 1800 666 111.
