Man charged in relation to fatal stabbing of Longford woman Sarah McNally in New York

A man has been arrested and charged in relation to the fatal stabbing of Longford woman Sarah McNally (41) last Saturday in New York. 

A spokesperson from the New York Police Department Deputy Commissioner Public Information (DCPI) outlined that 'on Monday, April 1, 2024, at 12.38 hours, that 36-year-old man Marcin Pieciak with an address at Queens Street was arrested and charged in the confines of the 104 Precinct'.

He was charged with intention to murder and two counts of Criminal Possession of a weapon. 

Ms McNally was originally from Longford town and she had been living and working in New York for a number of years. 

Sarah died after she suffered a stab wound to her neck at the Ceilí House Irish pub on Grand Avenue in Maspeth at approximately 6.34pm (10.34pm Irish time) on Saturday.
