Search for young woman missing from her home since Wednesday stood down

A young woman who had been the subject of a missing person appeal has been located "safe and well", gardaí have confirmed.

23-year-old Casey Farrelly - described as being 5 feet 5 inches tall with a slight build, brown hair and brown eyes - went missing from her home in Athboy, County Meath on Wednesday afternoon, 22nd May 2024.

Casey had been last seen at midday on Wednesday in Athboy and it was not known what she was wearing when she went missing.

"Gardaí would like to thank the media and the public for their assistance," a garda spokesperson said.
