Reece Donohoe died in the workplace accident on Friday
Tributes are being paid to the 17-year-old killed in a workplace accident at a recycling facility in Co Cavan on Thursday.
An investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of Reece Donohoe is ongoing following the workplace accident which occurred shortly after 4.30pm on Thursday.
The young man has been named locally with tributes being paid to the popular teenager from Kilnaleck, Co Cavan.
One tribute read: "We will treasure the many memories we have of wonderful times spent with darling Reece. He was a joy to be around and we will never forget him. Wishing you strength and courage for the times ahead."
Another read: "So very sad to see a lovely, handsome young lad in his prime, gone to God way before his time. I am so sorry for all Reece's family, friends and all who will miss him terribly. What a terrible tragedy, my thoughts and prayers will continue to be with you all in the days and weeks ahead. Rest in peaceful sleep."

A third posted a heartbreaking message to Reece's parents: "There are no words to understand or even try to comprehend the heartbreak you are going through. Just know your son will always be in my prayers. A candle will always be lighting for Reece every night. From a mum of a 17-year-old who knew your son. My heart absolutely breaks for you."
Funeral arrangements have not yet been released. An RIP.ie notice reads: "House private until funeral arrangements are published."
