A second person has been arrested after a fatal assault in Tallaght, south Dublin.
A man aged in his 20s died in the incident in the Drumcairn Estate area in Tallaght in the early hours of Friday morning.
The man was pronounced dead at Tallaght University Hospital after being brought there from the scene.
A man in his 30s was subsequently arrested and remains in custody at a Dublin garda station, pursuant to Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.
Gardai said on Saturday that they had also arrested a woman aged in her 30s for alleged offences in connection with the investigation.
She is being detained at a Dublin Garda station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.
A post-mortem examination on the man who was fatally assaulted was carried out on Friday, the results of which are not being released for operational reasons, gardai said.
Gardai have appealed for witnesses to come forward, particularly those with video footage.
