In a separate operation on Saturday, cannabis with an estimated value of over €16m was seized at the port

Two men arrested as cocaine valued at over €7m seized in bust at Irish port

Revenue officers seized approximately 104kgs of cocaine with an estimated value of €7.2 million at Rosslare Europort on Thursday. 

The seizure was made as part of an intelligence-led joint operation conducted by the Revenue’s Customs Service and the Garda National Drugs & Organised Crime Bureau (GNDOCB).

Two men, one in his 50’s and one in his 40’s, were arrested by An Garda Síochána and are currently being detained in Garda Stations in Wexford and Kerry, under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996. 

Investigations are ongoing.
