Irish plane spotters were left excited on Thursday when they spotted two US Air Force jets flying over Ireland, one of which was President Joe Biden on Air Force One.
One eagle-eyed aviation watcher, Michael Kelly, took to X to share: "Interesting aircraft overflying Ireland at the moment, the 2 United States Air Force Boeing 747s one of which I believe is #AirForceOne."
Shaun's Aviation replied and confirmed that Air Force One has checked in with Shanwick and was flying over Ireland with a second plane.

It turns out, Biden, who visited his ancestral home in Mayo and Louth last year, got the chance to see Ireland again, albeit from the air, as he flew to Germany.

The plane left Andrew Air Force base in the States and was heading for Berlin Brandenburg Airport.
