Two Irish EuroMillions players have become instant millionaires after they each won a life-changing prize in a special raffle that took place on Friday night.

The EuroMillions raffle draw guaranteed that 100 players across all nine participating countries would each win one of the €1 million raffle prizes.

The National Lottery has now revealed that players from Dublin and Kerry are among the winners - the winning Irish raffle codes were I-RKJ-86198 and I-RKS-16405.

The National Lottery confirmed the winning tickets were bought in retail stores and that it will reveal the exact location in the coming days.

Meanwhile, the EuroMillions Plus top prize of €500,000 in Friday's draw was won by a player who bought their ticket in the Sunny South East.

The Quick Pick ticket was purchased at Centra, Carnagh, Cushinstown, County  Wexford and the winning numbers in Friday's EuroMillions Plus draw were 7, 27, 35, 38 and 45.

Adding to the excitement, an online player from County Kildare has also become an overnight millionaire after they scored the top prize of €1 million in the Friday Daily Million 2pm draw.

The winning numbers  were 1, 2, 5, 16, 29, 31 and the bonus was 23.

Commenting this Saturday afternoon, Emma Monaghan, spokesperson for the National Lottery, urged all players to check their tickets to ensure that they do not miss out on any of their big prizes following Friday’s draws.

“Today, we are urging all our players, especially those in Dublin, Kerry, Kildare and Wexford, who played in-store and online to check their tickets carefully."

Emma added: “For any National Lottery prize over €1 million, we always ensure that we give the winners a few days to allow their life-changing win to sink in before we announce the exact winning location. We look forward to sharing the news of the big wins with the local retailers and I’m sure there will be plenty of celebrations when their wins are announced.”

The National Lottery is advising all of Friday night’s big winners to check their tickets carefully and if they have a winning ticket in their possession, they should sign it immediately and keep it in a safe place before making contact with the prize claims team.
