Gardaí have arrested three teenagers as part of an operation targeting a criminal group linked to "opportunistic thefts" from parked cars, burglary and related crimes.
The arrests were made in the early hours of Thursday, March 6, when officers from DMR East Crime intercepted a car in the Ballinteer area of South Dublin. The car had been reported stolen following a recent burglary in Greystones, Co Wicklow.
Inside the car, gardaí discovered a haul of stolen goods, including car keys, wallets and bank cards.
Gardaí also recovered balaclavas, iron bars, torches and snoods.
The three male occupants of the car, all in their mid-teens, were arrested and are currently being held at a Garda Station in South East Dublin.
Investigations are ongoing, gardaí said.
