As Ireland gears up for St Patrick's Day on Monday, March 17, social welfare recipients are reminded that the bank holiday Monday means banks and post offices will be close on the day.
The change in schedule means that anyone expecting to receive a social welfare payment on March 17 is likely to be paid early and can expect their payment on Friday, March 14 or Saturday, March 15.
This month is set to see more big schedule changes as clocks are set to go forward on Sunday, March 30. This means that at 1am the time on the clock is changed to 2am.
