A man aged in his late teens has died following a crash in Co Cork.
The man was driving a car when he was involved in a collision with a truck on the N71 road between Ballinhassig and Innishannon at approximately 7.15am on Monday.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The road was closed and diversions were put in place to facilitate a technical examination by forensic investigators. Local diversions are in place.
Gardai are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the collision to contact them.
A spokesperson said: “Any road users who may have camera footage and were travelling in the area between 7am and 7.30am this morning are asked to make this footage available to investigating gardai.”
