Shoppers shocked as mop is used in bare-chested brawl inside Irish shopping centre
Shoppers at Whitewater Shopping Centre in Newbridge Co Kildare were left horrified by a brawl involving a number of males on Sunday, September 7.
The vicious row began outside the busy shopping centre before the group of men moved inside the building where dozens of shoppers were left scrambling to avoid the blows.
A video of the incident circulating on social media then shows two men on an escalator with one striking the other with what appears to be a mop. Members of the public can be seen running away from the violent scene.

In a statement, gardaí confirmed they responded to the scene and that one person was hospitalised.

They said: "Gardaí received a report of an alleged incident of violent disorder at a commercial premises in Newbridge, Co Kildare, which occurred at approximately 3:35pm on Sunday, September 7, 2025.
"A male juvenile was treated at Naas General Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries."
They concluded by saying investigations are ongoing.
