A teenager has been arrested on suspicion of the murder of a man in Co Kildare last month.
Ryan Weir Gibbons, aged in his 20s, was found unresponsive in McGee Terrace in Kildare town in the early hours of Sunday October 26.
He died in the intensive care unit at Naas General Hospital on Thursday.
Gardai launched a murder investigation on Friday and issued an appeal to the public asking anyone with information to come forward.
On Monday, Gardai said they had arrested a person on suspicion of murder.
The man, aged in his late teens, is being detained at a Garda station in the Kildare area under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.
A funeral for Ryan Weir Gibbons is to be held at 11am on Thursday at St Brigid’s Parish Church in Kildare town.
