Gardaí appeal for witnesses following violent incident between two young men in Dublin

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following a violent incident in Clondalkin, Dublin 22, on Wednesday, November 12, 2025.

Shortly after 6:15am, local Gardaí, Armed Support Unit and Emergency Services personnel responded to reports of a violent disturbance involving two armed males at St Cuthbert’s Court, Clondalkin. Upon arrival, Gardaí discovered a male in his 20s with serious injuries.

The injured man was treated at the scene and taken by ambulance to Tallaght Hospital. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

A second male, also in his 20s, was arrested at the scene. He is currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984, at a Garda Station in west Dublin.

A hatchet and knife were recovered from the scene which has since been technically examined.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to come forward. Anyone with information is asked to contact Clondalkin Garda Station on 01-666 7600 or the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111.

Investigations are ongoing.
