A popular toy from Shein has been recalled by the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC) amid "safety concerns."

A plush teddy bear being sold by Wuhan Speed Run Technology Co. Ltd (Speed Run Authentic Shop) on Shein has flagged as being unsafe for Irish consumers.

The teddy bear does not have the CE mark, which signifies that a product meets European health, safety, and environmental requirements.

Because of the lack of the mark, the product should not have been available for purchase on the Irish market, according to the CCPC website.

The teddy bear is made by the brand Miniso and 25 have been bought across the country.

The barcode for the product is 6942269515731, and the product identifiers located on the packaging are PB2507270336854 and sl25031113827612891.
