A children's toy that has been recalled in Ireland due to it posing a "choking hazard" has been on sale since 2024.

The Competition and Consumer Protection Commission has issued a recall notice for a metal teapot set being sold by Flying Tiger Copenhagen.

Small parts have been reported as coming loose from the teapot's lid and the metal fastenings on the storage case.

"These small parts could present a choking hazard for small children," the Commission's website says. 

The item number is 3058431 all batches are affected.

The affected products have been on sale since July 2024, with roughly 1123 sold in the Republic of Ireland. 

If you have bought an affected teapot set, uou should stop using it immediately and keep it out of the reach of children.

People with one are being encouraged to return it to their nearest Flying Tiger Copenhagen store, where they will be issued with a full refund. 

There are 19 stores across Ireland, with one in Limerick, two in Kildare, and multiple in Dublin.
