Heartbreaking update as search for 53-year-old woman missing over one month stood down

The search for a 53-year-old woman who was reported missing over a month ago has been stood down following the discovery of a body.

Elizabeth Dunne was reported missing from Glendalough, county Wicklow on Friday, March 20, 2026.

Elizabeth was described as being 5 foot 4 inches in height, with grey hair and brown eyes and Gardaí and her family are concerned for her well-being.

In an update on Wednesday, Gardaí said,

"Following the discovery of a body, the missing person appeal in respect of Elizabeth Dunne, who was reported missing from Glendalough, Co. Wicklow since Friday, 20th March 2026, has been stood down."
