Karen Kennedy, Thurles Sarsfields and Tipperary
Waterford are at home to Tipperary at Walsh Park today in a game that is sure to be tense and nervy. The home side are hovering above relegation so are desperately in need of a win while Tipperary need win and check on the results from other games.
There is a lot at stake in this one too. Tipperary waited 20 years to win a national title so they will be desperate to record the victory that would give them a chance of retaining the Division 1A title.
They would need Galway to fail to win in Cork. In the meantime, Waterford will hope that Kilkenny account for Dublin, which would ensure their survival in the top tier.
Should the Dubs prevail and the Déise girls lose, however, it would come down to score difference and in that respect, they have 12 points in hand.
A draw would make survival certain. The referee for the game at Walsh Park is Gavin Donegan from Dublin. Throw in is at 2pm.
