A serious collision that occurred on Thursday afternoon just outside of Killoscully in North Tipperary has resulted in a young girl being hospitalised.
She was struck by a vehicle at around 4pm on the Newport side of the village and then taken to University Hospital Limerick for treatment of serious injuries. She has since been transferred to CHI at Temple Street hospital.
Gardaí have now closed the section of the L2110 Newport to Slivermines Road at Garraunbeg Killoscully, which will remain closed while Gardaí conduct a Techincal examination. Road users are asked to use alternative routes and give extra time to reach their destination.
Gardaí in Nenagh are investigating and have appealed for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to contact them on 067 50450.
