Works commence on pedestrianising busy street in this Tipperary town

Drivers will no longer be able to drive under the arch into Abbey St/Friary St

Nenagh

Nenagh Municipal District have commended works starting today to pedestrianise part of Abbey St in Nenagh.

The works will include the provision of buff coloured surfacing and surface level lighting.

Steel bollards will be installed at each end of the archway that leads onto Kenyon street to ensure pedestrian safety. 

Drivers will no longer be able to drive under the arch into Abbey St/Friary St and signage will be changed to advise motorists and pedestrians of the new arrangements.
