The 50 Plus Show returns to Limerick

OVER 1,000 people are expected to attend the 50 Plus Show which is back in Limerick after 3 years.

The 50 Plus Show, Ireland’s lifestyle event for older people is back and coming to the Greenhills Hotel, Conference and Leisure Centre on the 3rd and 4th of November and will include over 50 displays and demonstrations covering health checks and talks, hobbies and pastimes ideas, personal finance advice, travel, rights and entitlements, internet tuition, cooking demonstrations, dancing classes, valuations of notes, coins, stamps and collectables, plus recruitment and volunteering.

The event is organised by SeniorTimes, who have been running public events for people 50 and over for over 20 years and who are also publishers of SeniorTimes magazine and the SeniorTimes Podcast Series.

  • Limerick native Sinead Ryan, best known for her Irish Independent columns and Property show on Newstalk will be speaking on the Fair Deal Scheme, changes in the rules to renting out properties and updates on the ‘At Home’ Scheme
  • Cooking Demonstrations each day from Kate Wright from The Galway Cookery School
  • Dance classes from the Munster Dance Academy

Recruitment and Volunteering

A new feature to this years event will be a ‘A Jobs Wall’, staffed by Intreo, the Employer Relations Team in the Dept of Social Protection where attendees can get details on current vacancies – full time, casual and part time and provide support with recruitment and training.

Admission to the 50 Plus Show in the Greenhills Hotel, Conference and Leisure Centre is free by registering on their website, seniortimes.ie or by calling 01 496 9028.

There is also a free shuttle service to the show put on by the organisers from the City Centre. The timetable and a full list of what’s on will be posted on seniortimes.ie.

Opening times are 10am to 4pm daily.
