Tipperary man who served in the US Navy's Pacific Fleet has passed away

A Tipperary man who served in the US Navy's Pacific Fleet has passed away.

The death occurred of Anton Frederick (Tony) Lind of Gardenhill House, Castleconnell, county Limerick and formerly of the United States Navy, Pacific Fleet, San Diego, California, on January 12.

He passed peacefully in the loving care of his family and the wonderful staff of St Michael’s Nursing Home, Caherconlish.

Much loved and sadly missed by his wife Patricia, his children Christopher, David and Wendy and his grandchildren Robert, Richard, Edwina, Giacomo, Francesca, Massimo, Alexander and Sophia; his sister Olivia, nephews, relatives, neighbours and many friends.

Reposing at home on Sunday, January 15, from 3pm. to 6pm.

Funeral will arrive to St. Mary of the Rosary Church, Nenagh, on Monday, January 16, at 12.45pm for Requiem Mass at 1pm. Private family burial will take place on Tuesday.
