LATEST: Date revealed for the official Shane MacGowan mural unveiling celebration

The completed work will be officially celebrated in an unveiling ceremony next month

Although the Shane MacGowan mural has been completed and is on display at Emmet Place in Nenagh for the public to admire, an official marking ceremony is now set to take place on Sunday, October 6 in Nenagh.

The late Shane MacGowan's wife, Victoria Mary Clarke is expected to be in attendance at the celebration alongside Shane's sister Siobhán MacGowan and mural artist Neil O'Dwyer along with a many more of Shane's friends and family.

Further details are yet to be announced but live music and celebrations can be expected at the marking ceremony for this wonderful Tipperary work.
