HSE move to open Tipperary hospital unit to ease overcrowding in Limerick welcomed
The ongoing woes of UHL dominated the headlines this week.
But yesterday, it was announced that the HSE is looking at opening the Medical assessment unit in Nenagh alongside Ennis to ease overcrowding.

Gardaí in Tipperary Town are advising the public to keep an eye on their heating oil levels.
This follows a series of thefts in the area recently.
Monitoring tanks and organising smaller deliveries are part of the advice the gardaí gave.
HPV catch-up Clinics to be held at Thurles Primary Care Centre
A catch-up HPV vaccine clinic is to be held in the Primary Care Centre Thurles.
As part of the Laura Brennan HPV vaccine catch-up programme, girls and boys aged 16 to 25 who were previously eligible but did not receive the vaccine can make an appointment for January 26.
According to the HSE, while cervical cancer is the most common cancer caused by HPV, the virus can also cause vulval, penile, throat and anal cancers, as well as genital warts.
Those under 16 will receive the vaccine in school later this year.

And finally, Rachel Pilkington has announced she is leaving Fair City after nine years.
The actress who plays Jane Black on the show says she is returning to film.
