Former underage Tipperary hurlers wins Tipp New York Player of the Year accolade

Former Tipperary underage player Darragh Peters was honoured last Saturday night, when he was named Tipperary New York Hurling Club Player of the Year.

A former Tipperary minor and U21 hurler, the Kilruane MacDonaghs clubman was presented with his award at the club’s annual Dinner Dance last Saturday night.

Peters opted to stay in the US earlier this year, and in doing so, missed out on a big occasion for his native club by missing their county final success recently, but Peters received much adulation in the Big Apple after impressing for the Tipperary club.
